Along with her passion for creativity and community service, Sydnee brings her professional experience as a lifestyle photographer, business owner and entrepreneur, plus years of nonprofit program coordination with organizations like the Mpls Photo Center and CreativeMornings/MSP.
Sydnee first volunteered with Art Buddies as a creative mentor in 2014. “I loved watching the creative process through my buddy’s eyes; guiding her, and of course being the adult who got to use the hot glue gun!” she says.
Having experienced Art Buddies first-hand from the mentor perspective, Sydnee has an intimate understanding of our program and the impact it has on both volunteers and the children we serve.
“I was telling my husband about the magic of spring Match Day, talking a million miles a minute, and he stopped me to say he hadn’t seen me THIS excited about my job in a while," she shared.
